Day 8: Monday June 20 Universal
Today is the the first day of summer and a Strawberry moon. Won't happen again for 70 years.
Our first ride was the Revenge of the Mummy
We ate lunch a Emril's Orlando
Then came the Spider Man ride
Then Jurassic Park ride, a wet ride.
Two other wet rides included Popeye and Rip Saw Falls (Dudley Doright). After that we went "across the bridge" into Islands of Adventure where we rode the Harry Potter ride again.
After the Potter ride, we all rode the Hippogriff ride. This is the one Terri and the grand kids rode last Monday while Stephen Laura and I rode the Dragon Challenge. After we all rode the Hippogriff ride, we let the grand kids continue riding that ride while we took Terri over the the Dragon Challenge. She liked it! By the time we got back to pick up the kids, they had ridden the Hippogriff ride six more times.
Then we took the Hogwarts Express back over to the Universal park
The grandkids got to test their interactive wands. We finally got to ride the Men In Black ride, but it broke down again just as we were finishing the ride.
We also rode the Shriek ride and the Transformers, but never got to the Despicable Me or the Hollywood Rockit.
Terri says she walked 18,900 steps and climbed the equivalent of 15 flights of stairs. The steps are roughly 8 miles, bringing the total to roughly 35 miles. Tomorrow is our last day before heading home on Wednesday.
